Chai Istiyorum, Lutfen! (I would like Tea, please!)

Sitting here, a great day off! This week our clinical group was relieved of our duty to go to the hospital, ergo, I used my time wisely and caught up on some necessary sleep. It was exuberant!!! Haha. . . . just kidding. This Quarter has been rough, soooo much stress that never, to this moment seems to subside. On top of it all, Myself and a few other friends have run out of swipes to eat. :S . . . What a dilemma! We have to scrounge in garbage cans, and sit endless hours in the Giant Eagle doorway begging! I know We are quite pathetic, Oh well, its college experiences!! :P

So sitting around, I have pondered over a couple of my obsessions. To be specific, I have an unexplainable obsession for tea! Its quite the problem, but is it really that bad? Let's See : Green Tea w/citrus or lemon, Earl Grey Tea, Citrus blend Tea, Black Tea, White Tea, Chai Tea, Dragon Well Tea, Rose Tea, English Breakfast Tea, Vanilla Tea, and the list could go on for ages!!!! My favorite though is Green tea, but what makes green tea unique in health benefits and taste?? . . .

Green tea contains EGCG, a powerful anti-oxidant: besides inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, it kills cancer cells and aging cells, without harming healthy tissue. It has also been effective in lowering LDL cholesterol levels, and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots. Green tea leaves are steamed, which prevents the EGCG compound from being oxidized. By contrast, black and oolong tea leaves are made from fermented leaves, which results in the EGCG being converted into other compounds that are not nearly as effective in preventing and fighting various diseases.
Hmmmm . . . . So What am I getting from this over doing of Green Tea ??? Fighting against cancer, stabilizes blood sugar, prevents cardiovascular diseases, keeps skin acne free, smooths skin, assists in weight control/loss, slows the aging processes of the body, and aids in digestion!! Yayyyy, Go me, Im going to live to be about 150 if I keep this up :P

~Thats it for the addiction, signing out until another pondering moment comes :D . . .
Drink on almighty Chai addicts!!!

Let's Do This!

So I have suddenly decided to start a blog, I mean come on, everyone is doing it right?? Not! Really I decided to begin this for the simple fact of my family, a simple way that I would like to attempt to keep up with. Doubt It, but it's worth a shot!! I have recently been pondering whether I would like to take a leap into a broader knowledge, one that I will never forget, Going to Turkiye! There were a lot of positives, and of course a lot of negatives, and after countless and in depth contemplation I have decided to take the leap into culture. Yup that is right I, Dustin Sherman, am going. I have always been passionate about traveling; however, have never ever had the opportunity to do it. My goal in life is to make it to all 50 states and at least 20 different countries. Hard but very attainable!! And i will! So to partly initiate this goal I am going to Turkey, I bought my ticket, June 16 - July 28. I fly from Columbus to Detroit to Amsterdam to Istanbul. So my hopes with the blog, along with daily or weekly updates, throughout and during my trip I will post key points, and journal my trip along its voyage!! :D Well I look forward to some fun blogging time, hope its a beginning to wonderful bliss!! :P
